Teluk Cempedak Beach
Also known as Teluk Chempedak, the beach is approximately 5km away from Kuantan town and it is the perfect beach to unwind and to spend some leisure time with your family members during the evening. It is also a good place for water sports activities such as swimming, jet-skiing, surfing and even sun bathing.
Sungai Lembing Mines
Only 40km drive from Kuantan, Sungai Lembing is known as an old mining town in the past. During its glorious days, the mines is famous for being the deepest and longest underground tin mine in the world. Starting in 2013, the historical tunnels is operated as a tourist attraction in Sungai Lembing.
3D Gallery Sungai Lembing
The 3D Art Gallery (official name Three Dee Gallery) is the rising attraction in this old mining village, Sungai Lembing. The gallery consists of 15 digital 3D prints and 15 painted 3D sceneries such as the Rainbow Waterfall, Hanging Bridges, the Old Post Office, reflecting the local scenes of Sungai Lembing.
Museum Sungai Lembing
The museum plays an important role in disseminating information and displaying artifacts during the glorious days of tin mining in Sungai Lembing in accordance to its status as the biggest tin mine in the world.The village was known as the El-Dorado of the East in Malaya because this was where the English colony was.
Muzium Sultan Abu Bakar, Pekan

Ana Ikan Bakar Petai
Located in Tanjung Lumpur, Kuantan, this restaurant serves ikan bakar (grilled fish) with petai. The place is usually fully-booked by tourists or even the locals therefore, pre-booking is highly recommended. Other than ikan bakar, there are several seafood dish to be chosen from the menu.
Kuantan River Cruise

Cherating Turtle Sanctuary
The turtle sanctuary serves as centre to protect the endangered species by ensuring the survival of the turtles landed and laid eggs on the Chendor Beach. Visitors are able to visit the centre at night and if lucky, one gets to witness one or more turtles laying eggs. The centre also acts as an information centre to educate public regarding the conservation of turtles.
Sultan Ahmad Shah State Mosque
Opened in 1994, the mosque is named after the first Sultan of Pahang: Sultan Ahmad Al-Mu'adzam Shah. The architecture of the mosque is inspired by Ottoman-Moorish and it can accommodate up to 8,000 people and is strategically located in the central business district of Kuantan.
The beach is popularly known for the numerous beach resorts sprawling along the bay including the first Club Med in Asia. There are numerous activities to be carried out here such as surfing, turtle watching, water sports and many more. The beach may not be as beautiful as those in East Coast but it’s certainly a great place for relaxation.
Mini Zoo Taman Teruntum
The mini zoo is located in Taman Teruntum, a recreational park at Kuantan. What’s special about the zoo is that the entrance is free and it's suitable for a day out with kids. Decent range of wildlife can be found here and visitors can purchase pellets at an affordable price to feed some of the animals here.
Also known as Air Terjun Sungai Pandan, Pandan Waterfall is situated about 25 km from Kuantan, Pahang. It is an ideal spot for picnic and recreational activities for Kuantan locals and those staying in the surrounding areas.
